GENERAL INFORMATION

 

 

Hours of Operation

 

                   8:00 am to 12:00 noon

                   1:00 pm to   5:00 pm

                   Monday through Friday (except holidays)

 

 

Directions to Court

 

          The court is located at 101 W. Main Street, Nacogdoches, Texas.

          It is on the second floor of the courthouse.

          The public must enter the building through the secured entry

          located on the northwest corner of the building.

 

          From Houston:    Take U.S. Hwy 59 north.

                                      Turn left on Main St./Hwy 21 (the courthouse

                                      will be on your left at this intersection)

                                      Turn left into the courthouse parking lot.

                                      (estimated travel time from downtown Houston

                                       is 2.5 hours)

 

 

          From Dallas:        Take I-30 west.  Exit onto U.S. Hwy 80

                                      eastbound.  Merge onto I-20 near Terrell, Texas.

                                      Travel eastbound on I-20 until you are near

                                      Kilgore, Texas.  Exit onto Hwy. 42/Powderhorn Rd. and

                                      proceed southbound.  Hwy 42 merges with U.S. Hwy 259.

      Proceed southbound on 259 all the way to Nacogdoches.

      Once in Nacogdoches, take a right on Main Street/Hwy 21.

      Take an immediate left into the courthouse parking lot.

Parking

 

          The courthouse parking lot is free.

          It is located on the west side of the courthouse.

          It is accessible from both Main Street and Pilar Street.

 

          Additional Parking

 

                   There are two additional lots.

                   One is just west of the courthouse on the south side of Pilar Street.

                   One is located on the west side of the courthouse Annex

                    Building.  This building is just west of the courthouse on Main Street.

 

 

Courthouse Security

 

          There is only one public entrance/exit for the courthouse.

          Everyone must pass through the metal detectors.

          No firearm, knife (even small pocket knives), nor weapon of

            any sort is allowed in the building.
